New Briefing: Germany supplied fighting vehicle parts and other arms to Israel throughout 2024

For the first time, data analysed by Shadow World Investigations (SWI) reveals exports of arms and weapons components from Germany to Israel occurred throughout 2024.

Germany does not publish its real arms exports, only the value of licenses granted. However, newly released customs data from the Government of Israel shows that Germany has supplied fighting vehicle components and other weapons to Israel.

While the customs data are organised in fairly vague categories, those most likely to refer to military equipment reveal EUR 3.7 million worth of fighting vehicle components as well as EUR 4.3 million in an “arms and ammunition” customs category imported to Israel from Germany in 2024 (currency converted from Israeli Shekel).

This represents a rare snapshot of German arms exports to Israel but does not reflect the full volume of these exports.
