Nora Mbagathi is a lawyer and has been working internationally on human rights litigation and campaigning for over ten years. She is a solicitor of England and Wales and a member of the New York Bar. Nora has a background in technology and human rights, with a focus on non-discrimination and equality, and has worked on death penalty mitigation and abuses in counterterrorism. Based in Nairobi, Nora is the executive director of the Kenyan NGO Katiba Institute. Nora has previously worked for the Open Society Justice Initiative and UK Charity Reprieve. She holds a JD from the George Washington University Law School and a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics. Nora has lived in Berlin, Cairo, DC, London, and Nairobi.
